With over 50 years of experience in the theatre as an actor, technician and producer JohnCapocci has performed many roles. At The Player’s Guild of Canton, he acted in numerous productions in his 30 year association with that theater portraying most notably

John Adams in1776, Captain Hook in Peter Pan ; J. Pierpont Finch, in How to Succeed in BusinessWithout Really Trying, and Bob Cratchit, in A Christmas Carol.

In 1993 John formed his own acting company, The Actors of Farinella’s Ghost (AFG), which performed a variety of unique works that included, Crossroads, a play based on a talk show format that interviewed historical figures from Canton Ohio and surrounding communities and October Tales, a Halloween production that was first performed on a driving range, then moved to a barn, and finally into Cable Recital Hall in the Canton Cultural Center.

For many years, however , AFG performed at a local art gallery, and at Walsh University performing often in conjunction with the university’s Philosophy and Theology Symposiums

In 2021 John turned his attention to films and since that time numerous films most notably as

Gramps in A Look in the Rear View ; Moe Truxton in Gnashing in Gehenna; Charles Aycock in In the Pines; and Alfred Kohn in The Ice Cream Man. John can also on the History Channel’s “The Food that Built America” on the March 17 ,2024 Episode, “Sunshine in a Glass”
